Braided
rugs have been warming the hearths
and homes of Americans for over
200 years. The art and craft of
creating the historic braided
rug was borne from ingenuity and
necessity of our great Colonial
ancestors. The technique was simple.
Settles would sew scraps of fabric
and wool into length strips. These
strips were braided and sewn into
beautiful and durable rugs.
Hearth & Home Rugs
has endeavored to preserve the
art form of the braided rug. All
of our rugs and accessories are
handmade of a durable combination
of yarns.
